In honor of Smash TV’s 1000th post, we’re reposting our first ever entry, the one, the only, Skinemax.

Thanks to all of our great followers and fans out there, we hope we’ve provided you with some solid entertainment over the past few months. 1000 posts may not seem like a lot to those of you who post many images and gifs every day, but since we try to curate our favorite videos and music on the blog instead of images and gifs, there’s literally days worth of stuff on here.

We’ve each got the first few minutes of our new projects under way. It’s slow going, but it’s summer time and we have lives too…and hey, these things can’t be rushed, can they? In the meantime, we’ll keep posting awesome shit. You stay tuned, we’ll keep the transmission going.

Skinemax is Koyaanisqatsi for a generation raised on late night television and B-movie VHS tapes. It’s long form entertainment for short attention spans. An hour long VJ odyssey, it will move your body and warp your mind.

A nostalgic look back at a half remembered childhood growing up in the 80s and early 90s, Skinemax takes a close look at the culture of that era. The images that motivated, delighted, and terrified us on the silver screen, set to propulsive modern music that pines for a simpler time.
